Amanda Bynes has been going through a very public downward spiral in the last few months, getting arrested, posting racy twitter photos, doing drugs, and drastically changing her appearance.

She’s also talking about the work she had done–a nose job a few years ago. Just a few weeks ago, she was gushing about how fantastic her nose was, but it appears that she was not quite satisfied after all.

New Nose Job?

Since her arrest for multiple charges, Amanda has stated that she’s already gotten a new nose job, after seeing her mug shot photos. Unless she is talking about a non-surgical nose job with fillers, these claims are dubious, as she has not been seen with any signs of surgery, and claims she’ll be getting one more surgery in three weeks.

She describes the alleged procedure this way: “I’m getting one more in 3 weeks, they are short, amazing surgeries done while I’m awake but under general anesthesia. It’s almost perfect.”

Amanda Bynes' Continuing Self-Image Issues - RhinoplaastyReputable surgeons would not perform traditional rhinoplasty operations so close together, so it’s unclear as to what type of procedure the troubled star received. Additionally, since she has apparently using drugs recently, it would be quite dangerous for her to undergo plastic surgery.

Reasons Not to Get a Nose Job

Amanda clearly has some self-esteem issues to work on, and seems to be seeking plastic surgery to project a certain image, not for her own self-esteem.

Rhinoplasty can be a wonderful way to boost your self-confidence, but it should not be to please anyone but yourself. Rhinoplasty is a big decision, and should never be made hastily, as seems to be the case for Amanda.
